Rebecca Tebano, LMHC
Women's Mental Health Specialist
I believe that meaningful healing begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship—one built on compassion, authenticity, and respect. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together toward greater well-being and lasting change.
For more than a decade, I have worked in a variety of clinical roles serving families, children and individuals through different challenges. While I work with individuals navigating many different concerns, I have a special passion for women's mental health; including family planning, fertility, the perinatal period, couples work, and the many transitions that accompany parenthood.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered care, recognizing that each individual brings their own story, strengths, and values to the counseling process. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change and I tailor treatment to meet your unique needs. Alongside this collaborative approach, I incorporate evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help clients build practical skills, increase resilience, and create lasting, meaningful change.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY Oswego and my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose. I am a Certified Women's Mental Health Specialist and a member of Postpartum Support International, allowing me to remain connected to current research and best practices in perinatal mental health.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I am a wife and mother of three who understands the complexity of balancing family life with personal well-being. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, staying active within my community, and singing in an all women's a cappella chorus.
